A two-storey house in the colonial manner, built of rough limestone under clay-tile eaves carried on timber corbels. Black steel windows, carved wood doors, a planted courtyard of lavender and jasmine. Behind, a covered terrace with grill and long table; within, a kitchen of stone, walnut and marble beneath exposed beams. A house that feels handmade, and older than it is.
